DENISE PIERCE BURNS
Answering to the people, not Atlanta insiders.
Denise Burns is a lifelong North Georgia conservative, homeschool mom, small-farm homesteader, and former GOP congressional district chair. With deep roots in SD-53, she’s running for the Georgia Senate to defend life, faith, parental rights, and local control.

DENISE ON THE ISSUES
LIFE & FAITH
Protecting life is the government's first duty. Denise is firmly pro-life and believes every human life has value from conception to natural death. Her faith informs her commitment to protecting the unborn, defending religious liberty, and standing for the moral foundations that made this country strong.
PARENTAL RIGHTS & EDUCATION
After homeschooling her children for 25 years, Denise knows parents are best equipped to make decisions about their children’s education. She will defend homeschool freedom, demand accountability from public schools, and oppose government systems that sideline parents.
FOOD FREEDOM & SMALL FARMS
Denise has spent decades advocating for food freedom and local agriculture. She supports expanding access for small producers, including raw milk, and rolling back regulations that punish family farms while benefiting large corporations.
LIMITED GOVERNMENT
Georgia doesn’t need more rules—it needs more freedom. Denise believes the government has grown far beyond its proper role. She will work to reduce unnecessary regulation, protect private property, and restore the freedom Georgians once enjoyed without constant government interference.
AFFORDABILITY & PROPERTY TAXES
Government spending shouldn’t price families out of North Georgia. Denise believes affordability starts with discipline and accountability in government. Rising costs are making it harder for families, seniors, and farmers to stay in their homes and communities. She will fight for responsible budgeting, transparency, and respect for private property.
ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION & PUBLIC SAFETY
After Georgia’s immigration endorsement bill stalled in 2023, Denise mobilized grassroots conservatives to revive the legislation and push it through the House in 2024. The bill required local authorities to report certain criminal activity by illegal immigrants to federal immigration officials. Provisions of that legislation later helped form the federal Laken Riley Act, strengthening cooperation between local law enforcement and ICE.
MEDICAL FREEDOM
Denise believes individuals have the right to make informed medical choices without mandates, coercion, or political pressure. She will oppose one-size-fits-all government mandates and defend the right of doctors, parents, and patients to decide what is best for their own health. Denise supports transparency, informed consent, and protecting medical professionals who act in the best interest of their patients.
SECOND AMENDMENT
The right to self-defense must be protected. Denise is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and believes the right to keep and bear arms is essential to preserving liberty and protecting families.
